Maybe Bamboo yarn should be named "Can't Believe It's Not Cashmere". Yes, Bamboo yarn is that soft!

In case
Hemp for Knitting was just too coarse for your tastes, try
Bamboo.
I'm currently knitting up this deliciously soft, 5 sts/inch on US #6s yarn into a hoodie for my granddaughter and oh my! is it ever soft. And that's just the beginning of the delicious-ness of this yarn.
There's a story on every label. First of all, it says "Ecofriendly" and "Antibacterial". I don't have a clue why it's antibacterial, but nothing is too good for my grandbaby.
Here's the rest of the story:
"This yarn was hand dyed and balled by women in South Africa under a job creation program that has offered opportunity in an economically depressed rural region with a 75% unemployment rate.
"Enjoy this beautiful product knowing that you have brought hope into a South African community and that a portion of your purchase is helping support the local school."

The only downside to this yarn is that I find it splits a bit as I knit, it is a bit spendy (it cost me $50 for enough yarn for a small toddler sweater and $25 for shipping and handling), and it must be hand washed.
However, the splitting and hand washing are nothing, in exchange for opportunity and hope. And the extra expense is my loving donation in support of a rural school. I am proud and delighted to offer you the same chance to make a difference while you knit with an exemplary yarn.
